Boursot Wine Club

We invite you to our gathering of like-minded people who enjoy some of the finer things in life.  Without any pretence, snobbery or elitism.

·      There will be seasonal Private Tastings held for Members.  We already talk to audiences at wine clubs across Ireland but we’re always looking for more!   If you should introduce us to present a tasting at your local wine club, after the event we will extend our thanks to you with the gift of a mixed six bottle case of wine. 

·      For those of you who would like to receive a mixed selection of 100% dependable wines on a regular basis, we can take any pain out of decision-making with our Tasting Cases.  These are designed to broaden your taste horizons.

·      We also offer you the opportunity to select and build the contents of your own fine wine cellar that will mature and, possibly appreciate in value. 

·      You can choose from Special Purchases of Limited Edition Wines - parcels that might not otherwise see our lists, either in France or in Ireland.

·      If you’re travelling to France, have your wines delivered to you free of charge (for 12 bottles or more) wherever you are in France at very low French prices.  When wine duty per bottle is €0.03 in France and €3.19 in Ireland, your actual savings are around €5 a bottle.  Any cases that you don’t finish whilst you’re away, you can bring them back to Ireland and pay no Irish duty and VAT!

·      Many people tell us they have some bottles in their cupboard or cellar and would like to know if they have any value.  We can offer advice on your “cellar” contents.

 
Wine without Fears monthly subscription – 3 levels

For some, choosing the right wine can seem a daunting process, especially when it can generate trenchant views from others, often borne out of ignorance.   Who knows why people feel they need to know about certain topics but we can help you on wine.  It’s what we do and it’s what we have been doing for years.  It’s not a science and it does not need to be made overly complicated or glorified. 

Red wine with fish, white wine with cheese – yes, why not, if that’s what you’d like?  

We will ask you if you have any stylistic preferences or dislikes and whether you’d like to experiment from time to time.  We will then build your wine profile. 

We will send you mixed packs of bottles every quarter (or pre-agreed) frequency - call them Tasting Cases if you like.  We might suggest other wines that we believe could work for you, so as to broaden your taste horizon and understanding.

There are three levels of subscription:  Bottle, Magnum and Jeroboam.  These are the names of the subscriptions not the bottle sizes!  By paying a monthly rate, you are spreading the cost of your wine purchases. 

What You Get

A once a quarter discounted case made up of wines according to your Taste Profile.  Delivered to your door.

All levels will receive special members-first Wine Offers and Priority Bookings for Tastings & Dinners.  There will also be a members’ newsletter.  Dinners will be in the company of either a wine journalist or a wine producer who will talk in a relaxed way about the wines being served.

All Tasting Cases will be discounted and include comprehensive background notes to each wine.
