France offers a diverse range of white wines, from fresh and fruity to fuller or sweeter styles, with each region specializing in unique grape varieties:

• Alsace: Known for fruity wines, with varieties like Riesling, Pinot Blanc and Gewürztraminer. The region also produces high-quality late harvest sweet wines such as Sélection de Grains Nobles.
• Bordeaux: Produces light, fruity whites from the Entre Deux Mers and Graves, and sweeter wines like Sauternes, using Sauvignon, Sémillon, and Muscadelle grapes.
• Burgundy & Chablis: Famous for Chardonnay, producing fresh and soft white wines, including renowned labels such as Montrachet and Chablis Grand Cru.
• Provence, Languedoc and the South West: These warm regions create flavoursome yet fresh wines like Viognier and Picpoul de Pinet, and can still offer good value.
• Côtes du Rhône: Known for dry, slightly spicy whites from varieties like Marsanne, Roussanne, Clairette and Viognier, often pairing well with fuller flavoured dishes.
• Loire: Famous for its diverse white wines, especially Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon, and Muscadet, ranging from sparkling to dry, medium, and sweet styles.
